Steven Palumbo
Steven Palumbo has been entertaining New England audiences for 15 years. He began his professional singing career in 1993 with a Rhode Island-based Motown-style quartet called TWYCE. During his six years with the group,Palumbo had the opportunity to perform with such great musical acts as the Temptations,Tavares,Jeffrey Osborne and Roberta Flack.
But after leaving TWYCE,Palumbo decided to go solo and perform the music he truly loves. Instead of belting out high-volume Motown hits,Palumbo now performs sophisticated standards taken directly from the pages of the American Songbook. From classic melodies made famous by timeless stars such as Dean Martin,Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin to chart-topping songs of
Harry Connick Jr.,Nat ‘King’ Cole and Louis ‘Satchmo’ Armstrong, Palumbo sings it all. Fans are also always on the lookout for his pretty convincing impressions of Dean Martin and Natalie Cole,as well.
This year, Palumbo was invited by Michael Dutra (of Strictly Sinatra Now fame) to join his“Rat Pack” tribute show. Thanks to this showcase opportunity,Palumbo has become THE ultimate Dean Martin tribute artist on the performance circuit, drawing crowds from Maine to Miami.
Palumbo’s powerful voice can be heard on two CDs. The first recording, Timeless Classics, was well-received by listeners throughout New England.
His newest effort,More,is proving to be a success as well. Both collections are available for purchase at Palumbo’s live performances.
